White Squall Captain Dies

Dr. CB Sheldon died yesterday. He was the Captain of the Albatros which was featured in film, White Squall. I would think White Squall is one of the best sailing movies (along with Wind, Dead Calm, Captain Ron etc..) Very interesting guys. below is his orbit.

When did he pass away?

I am confused, the obit. says he passed away Oct. 5, 2002. Rest in Peace C.B. Sheldon.

I am also confused, I pulled up the NY Times as I do each day and here it is, January 2, 2009.

I have been drinking dark and stormies all night, I cannot see straight, so it is probably me. I have got to stop drinking them and just drink straight rum

Hey - nobody's gonna beat up on a guy who's been slamming D&S's all night long on freakin' New Year's! No problem ISUS.

Hey - did you hear that President Garfield was shot the other day?

Happy New Year, dude.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Reports of Robert Gainer's first death were greatly exaggerated...

okay, I am evil and must be destroyed, but a least I have a good excuse, rum. I could post single guy needs hot galley winch to sail or a just testing email, that would solicity rougher responses. At least I put up an interesting website, gulp.

You guys have been kind, must be 2009 resolutions. See you, going sailing, 43 degrees, drissly, I dont care
