What my brother and I did for a short amount of amusement is tie body boards to the back and connect them to the boat with a piece of string and then try and hold on for as long as possible!

This may not apply to you I am 16 and he is 14, but it was well worth it.

Well I admit we weren't actually sailing at the time, we were under engine power.

However it was good experience for my parents to do their man overboard skills!

There you go Alexgd. Keep those parents on their toes! I hope you start screaming hysterically and thrashing around just to make it realistic for them.

My kids like to chuck me over the side every now and then when I least expect it - just for grins - then slowly wave as they continue on. Little monsters.

Welcome dude.

Ha ha thanks smackdaddy! Yeah its all great fun watching them sweating to remember how to do it, whilst we are pretending to drown. Great fun!

But back on topic there are a multitude of things that you can do to entertain kids.

We had a little dinghy on the back of ours and we used to time ourselves, how long each of us could go round the yacht with the best time.

You just have to be a little imaginative and everything will fall into place! Kids find everything fun and interesting as long as it is hands on and active (I would know!)
