Based on the fact that you have the head from hell on board, something tells me you may have bought that guy's boat.

Was that at Lake Norman Sailing club. My father in law used to keep his boat there before selling it. They are nice folks there. and it is cheap to keep a boat there.

Sounds like fate!

Maybe that RV will sell soon and you can get yourself a real RV, a sailboat. I think the O'day 25's are pretty roomy aren't they?

Yup it was at LNSC. I never knew that marina was even there until Friday. And it's a Sail Only marina And yes, It's the cheapest on the lake. Something like $1000/year and that includes water, electricity, and use of the club house which has showers and such.

Nice.

Hopefully. Granted the O'Day 25 doesn't have near as much room inside as my 35 ft RV but it is surprisingly roomy. It's only about 5'6" down stairs (I'm 5'10" and my wife is 5'4") but it's not bad. I think it has an 8'6" beam. The nice part is that in a pinch We could just hook up the boat and use it as a camper I would need to wire in shore power or replace all the lighting with LED.

That's cool. I was totally not expecting to be asked if we wanted to go out. And the added little sailing lessons for my wife were a nice added touch

Hey, CK. Those O'Days are real nice. A buddy of mine had a 272. It would sail in a whisper and was a blast in the heavier stuff. Plenty of room down below. With the shoal draft, you can take it anywhere.

I've always found boat people, sail or power, to be very generous and trusting. Then I take advantage of them and they regret ever meeting me.
