For those in the NJ,NY, CT area, what are you paying, per foot, for winter storage with stands?

In Mystic, CT it''s $32/ft for a 30'' sail. Stands are $20/each. With mast in it''s $6/ft. Mast out is $14/ft.

In Mamaroneck it''s $44/foot for Hauling, Storage, Power Wash, and Re-launching in the spring. Shrink Wrap is between $13/foot and $16/foot depending on LOA and Beam. All winterization and storage (for props and sails, etc.) are a-la-cart. I have yet to find any major differences in cost for comparable facilities in the whole area. I look more at protection from Noreasters, and the reputation of the yard if your planning on having them do any work over the winter. Also, you can tell from the a-la-cart price lists whether a yard is geared more toward powerboats than sailboats (like prices to winterize "Bravo" Engines, but no mention of low horsepower diesels). Just some of my thoughts. Good luck.

Up in the frozen north, Buffalo,NY. the going rate for outside storage and haulout, power wash and spring launch is any where from $9.95 - $12.00 a foot. Masts are left up, unless you want to pay for it to be taken down and stepped in the spring.

On City Island (thr Bronx) I''m paying $36/foot mast stepped including hauling/launching, bottom washing, blocks and stands. The price for boats over 35'' is $39/ft. Mast stepping/unstepping (total) is $21 per foot of boat per mast. Spring bottom painting is required at $10/ft plus paint.

twenty-five to thirty per foot-haul,power wash,blocks and stands, electric, water and launch. Mast is about two dollars per foot of boat each way.
