Info on Express boats?

Just bought an Express 19 - at least that''s what''s on the sailbag! The only info I''ve found on this line is here on Sailnet using the gear finder. Of course, it lists boats from 20'' and up! Hmmm - maybe I''ll go out an measure again.... Anyway, can anybody tell me anything about this company? The boat was built in 1988 - has a swing keel and very simple appointments. Sails great. Help me solve this mystery.

I suspect that you have an Alerion Express 20. I believe it was designed by Carl Schumacher, who designed many notables such as the Express30 and 35, both fast boats. I believe the alerion line was designed to look classic above the water line, but with a modern under body. the boat seems to be fairly quick for its size, except for off the wind, because of its non overlaping head sail. I do''nt know if the boat is rigged or can be rigged for a spinnaker. A friend of mine has one and I''m sure he would be happy to share Info. ( peasefam@dca.net )

Thanks - however... since my first posting I found a site for a line out of Canada called Express. But they don''t have a 19, either! The HIN breaks down that the boat is a 19 and the exact measurement is 19'', 3". It''s also very simple in appointments. V-berth, 2 quarter berths - no galley or built in head. It also doesn''t have the unique headsail with boom that the Alerion does. Just your basic sloop rig.
