Bonus question first.... LBS comes from the latin Librum, a weight unit used on their scales (Libra)
Secondly all the ballast will be in your fin keel,ie, the keel weighs the 2000 pounds (or 910 kilograms, if you prefer!)
Some race boats were built with hull ballast as well as keel weight, but not your Cal.
