Beneteau Idylle 11.5 cutless bearing

Has anyone replaced their cutless bearing? Mine's worn out. It looks likr there may be some set screws in the shaft log. I'd like some advice before I get into it. Thanks, Rob sailormanrob@msn.com

I am halfway through replacing the one in my Cal 9.2 (its's out, still have to put a new one in). Some have set screws to hold it in, others (like mine) just rely on a tight fit. having done this three times now, I have found that cutting the bearing with a hacksaw and collapsing it is the way to get it out. A threaded rod with some large washers and nuts allows easy insertion of the the new bearing. Don't even consider driving it in with a hammer.
