Chicago Sailboat Show. Worth going to?

I heard the Sail only show in Chicago, February 1 - 4, is more of a trade show than a boat show. True? Would it be worth the drive from Detroit (4 - 5 hours) to drool over some new boats, or would I be just looking at new gear?

I find the Strictly Sail show a lot of fun but then again I live and sail in Chicago. You will find a number of the production boats like Catalina and Hunter as well as Island Packet, Benetau, etc. Just the overwhelming smell of the gel coat and thrill of being around all of the gear that is for sale from companies like Harken, Raytheon, Zodiac, Gill, and Others. I say go for it and make a weekend of it. You may find that you can catch Southwest Air flight for cheap to Midway and then take the train in from there. Go for it, have fun.
