Our new boat...

We closed two deals over this past weekend...the sale of our Helms 25 and the purchase of our new (to us) Irwin 28 MkIV. We're estatic to have standing headroom, a furling headsail, an inboard engine, a plumbed head, a useable galley and more room throughout. It's going to be a great summer of cruising here on the Great Lakes!

Here's a few pictures of our new girl:

Congratulations!
Can't wait to see her cruising the waters of Lake Michigan.

I had an Irwin 30 and I loved her. Congratulations, go enjoy that bottle of Mount Gay Extra Old!

Kwalt,

FANTASTIC!!

Congrats to you and the family. I remember when we moved up from our Dana 24 to our current boat -- it felt like a mansion! Enjoy the feeling while it lasts , and here's hoping you have a great summer of sailing!

Beautiful boat!

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

After seeing the most recent pics of your girls on your blog, I think you have found the absolutely most perfect boat for you. A cheerfully cute boat to ferry about two ridiculously adorable girls. Can't wait to see the photos of your new boat with your adorable crew on board.

Nice - now I have something to look forward to - that is probably the biggest size I would ever go for.
(yeah, I'm sure you all said that once).
