Nice Slide show - great pics

This is a series of shots from the Squamish Yacht Club's racing program, along with some practicing Opti sailors intermixed.... Squamish is about 25 miles from Vancouver BC at the end of one of our typical coastal fiords. Spectacular scenery, strong inflow winds and flat water make this area a racer's dream for sailors and kiteboarders alike.

Shots by our good friend Peter Lang, Enjoy!!

I'll chime in, too....great shots!!!

I especially like the pics of the Ericson 33 (like my boat) flying the chute in what appears to be very close quarters! In one shot they look like the can "collect" the kitesailor who is in the water before slamming into the breakwater! Maybe it is not as close as it looks in the pics.

Rocinante33 - those are great boats! We'll be racing that one around Bowen Island this weekend.

FYI - the boats pictured include:

Jalapeno Martin 242 (one of our former boats)
Alameda Ericson 33
Raven SJ24
Shenanigans Farr 30
Voila Laser 28
Tradewind C&C30

A good mixed fleet!

Nice pics!

Seeing the pics reminds me that I really need to dig out my old SLR camera I got from my uncle...
