Boat Explodes At Noank Shipyard

I just read this in todays New London Day.
Boat explodes and burns at Noank Shipyard in Noank CT.

TheDay.com - Boat explodes, burns in Noank; one injured

Who knows what the cause was, but I was just recently talking with someone about how unsafe that place is. They have transients tied up at the fuel dock overnight who are barbequeing, smoking cigars, using stoves etc.

Maybe this goes on everywhere, but it seems like a blatant disregard for basic safety rules and common sense.
