Suppossed to be a beautiful weekend here in Maine (I'm being optimistic). Thinking about an overnight in Muscongus Bay, any suggestions on a good harbor/island to visit or anchor?
How about Harbor Island..? It's a great spot. Round Pond is also good and Padebco Boat Builders used to offer moorings. Hog Island, the Audubon Society Island, is a great hike as are many of the Islands in Muscongus that are on the Maine Island Trail. If you have a motor on the dink gunkholing after you've anchored is somehting we often do. I like Bar Island but you'll need to dinghy there as there is no good anchoring around it..
Thanks for the suggestions. Are there any enjoyable stops in friendship or Port Clyde?
