I dont think any book describes it well. I have sat and watched it being done and I have been directed on how to do this hands on. You Pull the inside out, put the out side in the inside and the inside in the outside and pull it tight. I saw it I did it but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.

Find Knothead's video on YouTube. Only after watching the video and having the printed page beside me did it make sense. After that, I use the printed material as a guide as I don't splice on a regular basis.

Use new line to practice with. Old line is very difficult at best if not impossible to splice.
