Post manteo nc

I would like to take a trip to manteo and wondered if there were any places to anchor nearby. If not what choice in marinas are there and what do they charge, looking for cheap and nothing fancy. I have a 41 sail with a 54'mast and draw 4.5'. thank you, Cbarg

Try going to ActiveCaptain - The Interactive Cruising Guidebook

Looks like there are 2 "five star" rated anchorages near by, for whatever thats worth. "Sandy Point" and "Durant Island"

The only marina in manteo is this one. There is also a free town dock for one night.

If I dont mind you asking, what is your boat?

I live on the wrong side of a 55' bridge, so I've always looked for 40+ footers with less than a 55' mast...

Manteo Marina

Check out Marshes Light - new marina in downtown Manteo - our boardwalk connects to the Town of Manteo's public docks, 5 minute walk to downtown. you can find us on the web, search Marshes Light.

My vessl's dimensions are similar to yours. We have anchored off the free dock that Camaraderie mentioned above and tied our dinghy at that location. Manteo is a pleasant stop for us. 'take care and joy, Aythya crew
