Some pics from last night

I really like sailing at night, moon is almost full, after the sun went down we stayed out an hour or so just drifting along in the 4kt breeze. I'm looking forward to a lot more night sailing in the future.

A couple, but even with my 50mm f/1.8 lens it's hard on a boat. They still come out fuzzy unless I go way up on the ISO, then they come out a little grainy

Nice pics

Nice photos! I'm in the Chicago area and the evening sailing has been nothing short of spectacular here the last few days. The Great Lakes are under the influence of a stagnant high pressure center that has kept winds predictable, steady and moderate for days now. The temperature out on the water has been cool here (under 70 degrees) and the water's flat. The breezes have been steady even after sundown and the combination of brilliant red/orange sunsets in the west and a rising near-full moon in the east remind us of why we sail. Very peaceful, very calming, very inspiring. Enjoy the waning days of summer.
