I will say that the whole thing sounds very fishy. We spoke about this at our docks last week. If this does not get your blood boiling, I don't know what would. Once again, justice does not seemed to be served against a motor boater. And even if his lights were on (assuming they were not), at those speeds, there would have been nothing the sailboater could have done. And let's not forget the witnesses are all saying his lights were on. And how much alcohol did the sailor really have in his system? And the sherrif was tested 24 hours later? I would certainly be sober by then.
This whole think stinks. Read the story, my fellow sailors, and be prepared to get angry.
