Here are some photos of random schooners I saw this summer. Let's see if we can get some good photos of schooners, tallships, vintage ships, etc that we have seen.

I'll post a few.

These are from the Pepsi Americas Sail tall ships event in Beaufort, NC in 2006.

At least one of them appears to be one of the same ships you posted.

Yup, that's the Virginia in the bottom photo. Others look like the Alliance, and maybe the Spirit of Massachusetts.

My wife and I once drove to Norfolk to see the Virginia only to discover it was booked for a private cruise. Noticing our obvious dissapointment, the captain let us know that they would return in a couple of hours and he'd personally give us a private tour. Naturally we were on the dock when they returned and got a terrific tour. I've always remembered that skipper's graciousness and enjoy recounting the story.
