which Catalina 27 for racing?
I''m looking for an older Catalina 27 for Lake racing and need some opinions on Tall rig versus standard rig. I know the tall has more sale area but it also drags an inboard prop. Is the larger sail area compensated for in the PHRF and therefore would I be just as competitive with a standard without the hassle of a 25 year old Atomic 4? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
