My freind doctor Ben and his crew are traviling around the world in his sail boat helping out poor people that are sick ,hurt.and teaching people how to stay healthy .They are a nonprofit group. They are setting sail in a few weeks. There is a clip about them at --cnn.com search floating doctors so u know its not a scam. You can also donate money at kickstarter.com .Hes a really nice guy and so is his crew so anything would be much apreciated. They are still looking for some help. like any fishing stuff,a small boat with a motor to get suplies back and forth from there sail boat .Lanterns, folding chairs really anything im sure they could use.If u can help or know of any one that can help . please contact them. It will be put to good use.If you have any questions you can email ben at doctorben@floatingdoctor.com . thank you and god bless

One doctor (not licensed in US), lots of pre-dents and meds and phlebotomists. Heavy on fund raising and PR. Have been "setting sail" for over a year now. This group is long on idealism and short on smarts. As a surgeon that provides volunteer surgical care in the South Pacific I have learned you need to start small and expand your work as you gain experience. Sailing is the same. These guys don't want to listen to advise. They are squandering a lot of donated money and potentially make all of the legit non-profit medical groups look bad. I don't recommend any financial support for them. Whats up with the article in US Sailing: The Floating Doctors: Sailing to Save Lives

If that Craigslist posting is really something related to FloatingDoctors, I'd be seriously embarrassed by it. It would make them appear far more credible if they had people who actually knew how to spell properly....

No, I don't think FloatingDoctors is a serious or legitimate venture... it is too half-assed to be worth donating to, since there seems to be little chance of your donation actually doing any good.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Maybe - but I could watch the video of them working on that boat a few hundred more times. Some serious spandex-clad eye candy in some of those shots. Huzzah!

I'm just sayin'.
