I don't believe they are still in business. As you probably know they produced a couple of Bill Garden designs (Truant 33, 37) and, I think, a coachroof version called the Saturna 33.
Thank you for that. My search must continue, I need to contact a Forum member called 'jimmyb.116' although I have not enough 'points' to contact him via 'e' mail.
One more post and you should be able to PM any Sailnet member.. Another member who owns a Truant here (the pilothouse version) is "seayalatermoonglow".... here's the link to his profile page where you can PM him.
Faster is correct my father closed the company in the late 90's when he moved on to building composite aircraft the moulds were sold to some guy in sooke but never produced again to the best of my knowledge
Thanks for the PM James.
When I was down at Canoe Cove marina near Sydney in 2006, the guy that ran the boat brokerage operation said they had the moulds for the Truant 33, although I didn't actually see them. He said they had discussed building them again a few years prior to that but it never went any further than the discussion stage. As far as I know, they still have the moulds.
Look up Park Isle Marine in Sooke, BC. Roy Parkinson is the owner. They own the Truant 37 mold, and build a deck saloon yacht called a Royal Passage 370.
Thank you so very much for your consideration and reply. Sometime ago my search for Michael Betts ws successful, we have since met in UK and are now in regular contact thanks to the Sailnet Community - keep up the excellent work.

My old home town. Nip down to Wivenhoe and have a pint in the Rose and Crown on the Quay for me. I can almost taste the Old Speckled Hen and smell the salt air just thinking about it.
JimmyB116 - not any relation to Paul Betts (who works) up in Sidney are you?
