Way to go Dan!
You are going to enjoy the Chesapeake after the Jersey coast on the Atlantic. Be aware that the Chessie can be real shallow quite far away from land so it can be very deceiving how much water you have under you. At least you now have a few tricks up your sleeve for getting unstuck now.
I'm down in FL near Palm Beach visiting my mother and hurricane Ida is blowing stink on the Gulf. Gusts to 40 here right now with a stiff wind out of the east. Ocean waves are raging.
Keep checking in as you continue your southing.

Find a [place to hunker down Tuesday eveing through Thursday as there is a possibility that there will be a northeaster comming up the coast depending on how Hurrican Ida interacts with the front comming through on Tuesday

Any of the Major rivers has creeks and "holes" to hide in.

If you need any supplies around Annnapolis let me know. Any where from Magothy to the west river just PM. I hope you have a trolling rod because this is a perfect time for rockfish in the bay stay in the deep channels.
