Boston Whaler Tender

I was just wondering if anyone out there, had any thing good or bad to say about a Boston Whaler 9' tender. Found a 1978 model for sale. How dose it roe, sail, and handle a load?

The whaler does all three of the above well but you forgot to ask how well it stows on deck. It is probably the heaviest dinghy it's size on the market. I have carried one on the deck of my 50 footer, but would not reccommend it for a smaller boat. I would not carry one on davits , even on my boat. Aside from that , they are great little boats.

Great little boats, but only if you use them as a docked tender at your home slip/mooring. As xsboats said, too heavy for davits/deck stowage. And if you're just going to keep it as a dock toy, why not step up to the 13 footer that can handle a 40hp motor with wheel steering?

Built like a brick and will never sink, cut it in half and both halfs will still float.

A 9' Whaler is the Creme de la Creme Of dingys. I carried it up side down on the deck a/o on davits. We could happily plane along beaches and rivers in Central America looking at the flora and fauna stopping at little villages or resort bars ad infinitum. They are heavy tho.
