Long thread on this at SA. He apparently only has a VHF radio. He's late according to his float plan, so his sister got worried and called authorities. The weather we've been having- likely worse when mixed with the Gulf Stream - could have pushed him hundreds of miles off his intended course. From there it could still take him a while longer to get to Bermuda - or he could be headed somewhere else instead. He could be sailing along having a fine time, or he could be in trouble. If he wanted to be found easily, he might have packed an Epirb or a SSB radio, but he didn't.
