Martha's Vineyard to Block Island in November

So this might not be the right spot for this, but I'm looking for the best way to get from Martha's Vineyard to Block Island the first week in December (I mistyped in the subject I realized). All of the ferries are for the most part down for the winter, and I'm trying to plan a last minute trip.

Any thoughts? I appreciate it.

Are you a pilot? If not sounds like the options are pretty limited.

You might be able to charter a plane and pilot but it might be cost prohibitive.

There are several small "airlines" that fly the islands. Not sure if they fly year-round, but people live on all those islands year-round, so I'm sure there's a way.

The ferries run year round from Pt. Judith to Block Island; 1 or 2 a day, except Christmas. Only the high speed ferry is seasonal. Ferries run every hour and fifteen minutes from MV to Woods Hole so you should have no problem.

That is correct. You need to get from Woods Hole to Point Judith RI. Or get yourself to Westerly RI. and fly to the Block.

Buses run from Woods Hole to Providence RI.

The best way? Buy a boat there on Martha's Vinyard and sail her to Block!

By the way, say Hi to Wolfie the dockmaster's son. He's the diver who put my new prop on this past summer. Also the pump out guy (don't remember his name, but I should), who took my stuck deck fill/pumpout ports as a personal challenge and unstuck one and lubed all of them -- on his own while I wasn't there. Great people there on MV, can't wait to go back.

Thanks for the pointers. It's definitely cost prohibitive to get from MV to Block this time of the year, but I'll be planning a similar passage for the summer months.

I'd love to pick up that G&B, but I'm nowhere near confident in my abilities yet to make that long a trip in December. It's definitely a gorgeous boat though...
