The original owner I bought my 280 from was given a 272 manual when he bought the boat, which he passed on to me. He told me it was very difficult to get the standard owners package at the time because the company was going under. For example, my sail cover says 272 LE.

I have a copy of the manual for the O'Day 28. I do not know the difference between a 28 and 280 but if this helps let me know and I can shoot off copies.

I doubt you'll get a reply from Jpdee, since he hasn't been on the forum since his one and only post a year ago. I'd also recommend you read this post to get the most out of your time on sailnet.

I have a 1985 O'day (28 footer) and found the owners manual, Universal Diesel manual (11hp), parts catalog, and even the alcohol stove manual online. I'd be happy to email any or all of them if you'd like.
