suck it up and get an ice boat

okay, here in maryland its anything a 100 to 500 a month for a slip, based on what the marina offers and where it is. normally thats plus electric and pump out, but most liveaboard marinas have heads but its a long cold walk from the toilet or shower to your boat. a few marinas have cable and trash you carry to a dumpster. also most marinas shut off the water in the winter so for dish washing you need to haul water

edit sounds like cabin fever, which does transfer over to saloon fever

Thats pretty sad, all right. Waiting for someone else to die and all.

Hey, it's 84 here. Nice trade wind blowing about 16 out of the NE...

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

Crapp.. :

Boy, this one put me in a 'happy' place.

I dunno, I'm just not feeling the LOVE here...I'd be a little concerned that I may not be at the top of the "old man's" list after his passing. Rather than waiting for the big dirt nap, I'd be more inclined to remove my dabbling digit and get busy to get my OWN boat.

By all means, dump the wife first (she may have a similar agenda), one would not want to loose the boat/money gained by the 'old money' that you waited soooo patiently for. After all, one should get exactly what they deserve.

Has the thought ever occurred to you that although you may need a boat really, really badly, he may need the money for the attorney's fees to cut your a$$ out of the will? Just say'n...
