Is the Dana 24 a new boat? What year did they begin to make them?
Is it possible to find used ones? Seattle area
I was looking at the Flicka 20 but seems to small to live aboard.

jackdale will become famous soon enough
The Dana has been around for some time, not sure how long.

They are great boats.

Yachtworld.com has one in Seattle.

Seacraft Yachts in Seattle specializes in Dana's and other Pacific Seacraft. They also build and represent new Dana's, and were at the last two boat shows with a new one. Very nice!

Seacraft Yachts in Seattle bought the molds for the Dana 24 from Pacific Seacraft, which built the Dana for years, before PSC moved to North Carolina.

Seacraft Yachts has built one Dana, and as far as I know they are ready to take orders for new ones. They are incredible little cruising boats.

Pacific Seacraft began making Dana 24s in the late 1984 - early 1985 time frame. Several hundred examples were built up through the late 1990s. There was a multi-year production hiatus in the early 2000s, when PSC didn't build any. After that, they went back into limited production but I'm not sure they ever made all that many during this brief "re-introduction" period. Still, there should be plenty of used examples available in various parts of North America. Check Yachtworld.com.

As others mentioned, just before the California-based PSC went bankrupt a few years ago, they sold the moulds and tooling for the Dana to Seacraft Yacht Sales (the long-time PSC dealer in Seattle area). They have since built at least one example, which to the best of my knowledge is still for sale.

Just FYI, Pacific Seacraft is back in business under new ownership and located in North Carolina. But they aren't making the Dana anymore.
