Strictly Sail Show - Chicago

Good points... and all considered before making that difficult choice. As for the rumors, they''ve been around for almost as long as the company. I guess that''s the price you pay for being "new" and going through the bumps of building a business in difficult times. FWIW, neither West nor BoatUS was at Chicago either -- and I don''t think anyone inferred a negative in that ;-)

You may not know the history but the company was born in Michigan. Our roots are in the Great Lakes and that''s why this particular show was difficult to cancel. As I said however, it wasn''t a geography thing -- we aren''t doing Miami or Oakland either. We''re very focused on what our customers want and this decision was made after polling a couple thousand of our best customers. While everyone agreed that it would nice for us to be at the shows, they preferred we maintain our pricing and free shipping. In the final analysis, the choice was that simple...

Let''s see, how many furlers would it take to equal one machine tool... and then what would we do with it ;-)
