Advice needed - Sea-**** Maintenance

Good Morning Folks, We are fairly new to this keel boat sailing. Our 36 foot sloop has 10 sea cocks that I want to maintain in an easy to operate state. Our shipwright changed one recently that had corroded.

Does someone have some advice please on pro-active maintenance? I have been spraying them on the outside with a can of spray, but what is the best product - inox?, and does this get to the valve sliding or moving parts internally.

Vessel located at Cairns Qld Australia (Tropical Climate)

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

Lucky

I wire brush then a thin film of EP grease over anything down there I don't want to corrode.
BTW I used to have a three legged dog named Lucky. Poor little guy didn't hear or see the bus as he was deaf and had only one eye.
