Sailnetting From The Boat

Face it, there is something really satisfying browsing through HerSailnet and FightClub from the cockpit of your very own yacht with a beer in your hand, stale peanuts at the ready, and the sun shining down on you...knowing you're eating up tons of bandwidth with crazy long run-on sentences. You know what I mean?

So, when you're lucky enough to be in said state of bliss either in the slip, on the hard, at anchor in Bora Bora or Des Moines, or best yet in the middle of a sweet passage, drop a line here and make us all jealous.

I raise my beer and stale peanuts to you all my fellow sailors. Huzzah!

[Posted from the glorious cockpit of the S/V Smacktanic in the slip in the middle of Texas.]

Smack, you're bringing back memories of summer. Each morning I would wake up, make coffee, turn on my laptop and come to sailnet to read my morning news in the comfort of my cockpit. There is no better place to be as the sun is rising.

Cheers to you!

Cheers to you too monkey!

I was able to enjoy the sunset while reading the "Sailing Braless" thread aloud to all my marina neighbors in my best Hamlet voice.

They seemed annoyed. Maybe I should try coffee.

I'll stick to where I am at, one day eating BF and heading to the hills to snow ski, next day, eat BF, head 10 min away and do some sailing. Of course this is typically only from about thanksgiving to mid April or there abouts......could go to may/june but ski areas close typically mid to late april.......Then you switch to golf one day, sail the next, or _____________

Those are some really UUUUUGGGGGGLLLLLLLYYYYYY toes in that thar photo too smacky!

Yeah - live it up there rainboy. 9 months of gray is too much for me.

As for the toes - I can open a beer with 'em. What can you do with yours?

Yeah yeah yeah about that thar rain! Reality is, only about 3 months of really bad rain days usually, Nov to Jan. it sometimes spills/starts in Oct and into February. Altho we do get 75% of the rain from Oct1 to April 30. May1 to Sept 30 we get all of 10", 20-25" the other 6 months of the year. my yearly Total is still less than what ALL area's west of the Mississippi get in the May1-Sept 30 time frame! Most ave 40-50".

Not sure which is worst.

As for what my toes can do..................what a waste opening beer cans/bottles...............This place is rated PG, so will not say what the toes can do! eheheheheheheheh
