Comparing 2 Yachts

Hi there I am currently in the process of purchasing my first boat and was wondering if anyone would be able to help i have narrowed it down to 2 yachts one has some work to do tidying up but is a cheaper option

The other is more expensive but we could walk onboard and start sailing

Any recommendations on these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Unless your color blind,I'd go for the second one:D , I agree, the second is sweeet! Rick

The second boat appears to have a modern hull form and keel which is more likely to produce a more comfortable motion and better sailing ability than the first boat which appears to be a cruder design all around.

If you are really concerned about price, it will probably be cheaper in the long run to get the second one. Plus, it looks way better.... and is not orange. A new paint job will close the price gap pretty quickly

I agree that whatever merit the second boat has is trumped by the first boat's paint job. I'm calling Frank Butler right now to see if he can make my Catalina orange!

I still like the orange one. Sad that it only comes with a 4hp engine though!

What type of sailing are you intending to do? Both scare me for any blue water.

Don't think I have ever seen an orange boat before. You would never get lost.marc
