Sold my Catalina 25....

Well I 'had' a 1978 Catalina 25.
Great Shape, Swing Keel, Pop Top version.
very clean and well oiled.
roller furling with great sails
Yamaha 4 stroke that started with 1 pull in 28 degree weather

I sold it for $ 4200.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I found 3 options..
1 - 17' Lazer with trailer.. different from the Catalina but might be cool
2 - Catalina 36 - project boat
3 - Melges 24 - probably over my sailing skill, but it is a really good price.

Whoa...that's quite a spread of choices! You've got a 1/2 person racing dinghy, a serious one-design racing keel boat and a project cruiser. Get all three and cover all your ambitions!

That's a no brainer!

Melges 24!!!

You'll learn more about how a boat responds in 1 season than a life time otherwise.

Respectfully,

Dick
