Talking Mid Atlantic, Finally thawing out?

Don't know about most of you sailors but this gal and friends are really getting antsy to get things under way! Light list of things to prep before the "splash" in the spring;
Touch up bottom paint that peeled off the barrier coat.
(yes I know why, need to sand It now I guess)

Finish sanding toe rail tops (teak) and finish the ones that were done by adding a few more coats of Cetol (nat teak)

Change the oil, pull the new tank drain and flush (another dumass thing I did) New tank with bad free fuel last spring, 4- racor r24t cartiridges later it's still nasty. sigh.

Check the impeller, flush the bilge, oil change etc.

compound and polish the hull again? Groan...

power wash the decks.. gray mold all boats get around here. More groans.

Are you crossing the Atlantic in the spring?

Take your time,Atlantic winter has been one of the worst of the last decades. Weather on Azores, Madeira and Western Europe has been really bad. Storm after storm. I have a lot of trees on my front-yard tied with ropes. That's the only way they can stay on their feet. Last week we had 80k winds.

Regards

Paulo

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I hope winter's not over yet. I plan to ski until at least mid-April.

It's raining now -- at least it isn't snow.
