Event - Lake Erie 30 Mile Sail this summer

I am organizing a 30 mile casual sail around the Lake Erie Islands this summer.

Sounds great -- wish I could join. I enjoyed sailing about the islands while I lived in Ohio. The Great Lakes islands (Lake Erie included) are too often overlooked. I unfortunately never made it to Pelee; too lazy with passports. I'm quite curious at to the culture of the island -- being stuck in the middle of an "ocean", but it freezes in winter and is cold. And yet, from a Canadian prospective, it's the south. Hehe.. Almost Paradise

Almost forgot to say, don't be afraid of including / visiting Pelee. Heck, there was a group of guys who kayaked to it from Marblehead. Crazy eh?

I have a passport but unsure about the others so I decided to say in US waters.

The idea of this event is to have a short east cruise for the first timers.

Good luck with your cruise. The course is very similar to one of the Sandusky Island race courses held on July 4th. Anchoring at Kelleys is only realistic with a W, SW, S, SE winds. Anything else is dicey.
