I have a pretty good library of Nav. Books that I have here at the school where I teach. Those books are mine but for the Bowditch, but then I have my own at home along with a couple of others. What I have at home are necessary from my point of view, but didn't list them. The books are as follows:
Dutton's
Formulae for Mariners
Chapman
Boater's Bowditch
Ship Master's Hand Book on Ship's Business
American Merchant Seaman's Manual
Merchant Marine Officer's Handbook
Stability and Trim for ship's officers
Piloting & Dead Reckioning
Rules of the Road
One Minute Guid to Nautical Rules of the Road
Modern Towing
Ocean Passages for the World
As you can see by the titles that my Reference materials are more for the Professional then the Amateur. But then again I do enjoy a busman's holiday.
But when I have to prove a point in question, I know which book to reach for.
Now what books are residing in your library??
