Dakar to Georgetown
A young lady rowed from Senegal to Guyana , she left Jan. 3 and arrived March 14. 70 days, 5 hours, 22 minutes. Her name is Katie Spotz she is 22 and did it for Blue Planet Run a charity involved in providing safe drinking water around the world. That is 2817 miles across the Atlantic. I can't imagine how much effort that took, she must have a great work ethic. The boat is similar to a lifeboat ( not a rowing shell). She would be a great crew member to step up into a lifeboat with.
