any idea how much i should sell my Furuno and Si Tek for?

i have a furuno (RSB-0055) radar set up with the display Model 1831 mark2 (GaAs FET tront end 8tone daylight dislay) si tex GPS Reciever. wondering how much i should sell it for. Can anyone help?

You know, I don't want to pick on a new guy, but how the heck do you expect anyone to be able to help you when you give NO useful information in your post? Ever think about giving a model #, age, or anything else that anyone would need to give a ballpark guesstimate? Try thinking about what information will be needed before you start typing and you will get a lot better results.

Try listing them on ebay, or searching similar items there. Also check craigslist.

Radar technology available for pleasure boats is rapidly changing/improving; the newest units utilize "broadband" and require ~10% of the energy than an older type did. While your radar unit is probably very useful it's resale value might be limited due to the improvements that are now coming to market (not new technology; but recently approved for use on pleasure craft).

I would say to look at a equivalent new unit with 24 nm capability and then ask for about 1/2 to 1/3 of it's retail.

I'm going to say ask $750 if you want it sold quick, $1.5G if you are trying to get a good price and $2G if everything is in good order (no short cables, all connectors are good and so on) then accept whatever offers come your way.

I know it seems crazy after having spent well over $4G for it but even at those low prices a person has to consider the hassle and cost of the install (which varies by boat) which for many means new, with all the new bells and whistles, is worth the extra bucks. As a result used electronics, even dirt cheap, can be hard to get rid of.

with my furuno radar dome being 21.5"x21.5" model RSB-0055 with cable, does this make it a more expensive type?
