Big day tomorrow

So I have the haul-out, survey and sea trial tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed!

I tell you what though, it has been a massive PITA trying to arrange a haul-out, a surveyor and the owner coming from Arizona to all happen at the same time.

Good luck Paul... long time coming!

Thanks, part of me hopes it gets a clean bill of health and I own a boat, part of me hopes it's a nightmare and I can pull out and leave the money in the bank for other "more important" things.

Good luck Paul. Keep us posted.

Well, that was an eventful afternoon!

What could be more important than living for the moment. You aren't guaranteed anything past now. Get your boat and sail the * out of it!

Indeed, the sea trial ended in a rather interesting finale after quite a pleasant sail.

Let's just say an outboard works better with a propeller. Fortunately it was a loaner unit and not the one that was supposed to go with the boat, and I bought a sailing instructor friend of mine along so there were 2 experienced people to get it docked safely (if a little way from home) under sail.

I had a prop fall off an outboard on my old V-21 once. Luckily, I carried a spare.
