Pirate OPI,

My condolences...sigh.

I think anyway you and the loved ones want to do it and say it, is the best. I have my will written up on how I''d like it done. (BTW, alcohol and celebration is mandatory at mine..;-)

Here is one prayer that I like

Sunset And Evening Star
And One Clear Call for Me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
when I put out to sea.

But such a tide as moving seems asleep
too full for sound and foam.
When that which drew from out the
boundless deep
turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
and after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
when I embark;

For though from out our bourne of time
and place
the flood may bear me far
I hope to see my pilot face to face
when I have crossed the bar.

Alfred Tennyson

Here is a whole site with burial at sea prayers

Here is the best site, for military protocol

There are a lot of Burial At Sea services, just type in "burial at sea", such as http://www.cburial.com/ and http://www.buryatsea.com/

As weird as it may sound there are EPA regulations, but you''ll be fine off the coast of NJ

Sorry,

Forgot to give a great site for FAQ''s

http://www.buriedatsea.org/q&a.htm#myself

Don''t be afraid, they make it seem like you can''t do it yourself, its just that you need to report it to the proper authorities.
