Ya know, when I found my San Juan 21 she was in two feet of water...wait, she had two feet of water inside her. She was a mess but I made the Opalko my own.

Good luck on your boat. She reminds me a little of the San Juan.

nogin is no longer in use....... Osprey410 is my new user name, named after my first sailboat; Osprey, and 410 being April 2010 the purchase date. I allowed myself as "nogin" to be banned by the administrators to purge "nogin" and allow myself to switch to this used id (thanks for the help Jeff!)

Here is my current list that I want to tackle before launch:
*Wash, compound and wax the hull
*Fabricate and install new bulkhead
*Run all new electrical and fabricate a fiberglass switch panel housing in cockpit for stereo, nav lights, access, cabin lights etc.
*Install center grab rails to attach lifelines for my kids to walk on deck
*Seal spider cracks on topsides, prime and paint
*Fabricate all new wood trim pieces for the interior
*Sand and varnish the salon door
*Power wash, scrape and sand the hull and keel
*Anti foul hull and keel

I hope to launch her in 10 days so I better get crack-a-lackin!!

bunk heights for Islander 21?

Hey can you measure the height from the base of the hull to the lowest point of the keel on your Islander 21 for me and send it to me? I am modifying a trailer for my Islander 21 and could really use the measurements. Thanks! Rob

Sure Rob. I will be working on her this morning and will measure it up for you. I am considering having a trailer made for her as well and need the measurements as well. How are you building your trailer? Welding the stands to the sides??

thanks. there is a guy named chuck with some pictures of his Islander 21 on Flicker. I emailed him also. If you look at his trailer the rollers are really nice. I wish I could have that one. Take a look.
