congrats on the "new" purchase. Good luck getting everything done and launched in 10 days, you've got some ambitious plans!

I suggest checking out ManeSail's instructions on polishing over at SailboatOwners.com I used his procedure this year on my 27' Hunter as well as my 22' fishing boat, results are well worth the time / effort.

I'll keep my eyes out for you on the sound this season.

Yes I agree, very ambitious. however, a back injury last week has left me in the Chiropractors office 3 days a week and in bed the other days. It's killing me knowing she is sitting there all alone waiting for me to make her mine and get her in the water for the first time in 4 years! I did go to her today and cleaned the inside out. I hope to get back to her tomorrow morning and continue the cleaning and start scaping the hull. Launch will wait until sometime around May 25th if the back allows me to get some work done.

That sucks... My girlfriend just told me the same thing this morning, but about working this weekend not today. Why should her birthday interfere with me installing a rigid vang??

Hey! anyone know how to de-step the mast ont he Islander 21? It looks like it has one vertical bolt as opposed to a horizontal one that would make it easier to lower hinged on that. Anyone? Thanks!

Also, the osprey slide show wasn't able to view for me. Are there pictures I can see?

I uploaded some photos of the Islander 21 I have. I attempted to put her on a trailer last night but the bunks were too high. I have to modify them. It has been a challenge but I am trying to save money. Any recommedations on anything about restoring her would be greately appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I am new to this website. I am looking at a 68 Islander 21 and really like it. At the same time I look at the 73 Kent Ranger 24. Does anyone has an opinion about these two boats. by the way congratulation on your Islander. Has you had a chance to launch her yet? If you did how do you like it. Thanks,
