boat delivery Fl to Md, my thread

okay, my first real delivery.

the boat is a tomcat 9.7, its a cat that measures 32 by 16. we are leaving the gulf side ( ft myers ) of Fl on weds and going down around the keys. the destination is annapolis Md.

the boat is a coastal boat but we are going outside as long as the weather allows. there are 3 people on board including myself, the owner and a retired delivery captain.

we are well equipped, extra fuel, parts and food. i have my spot messenger, which i added ssneade for checkin reports, hopefully he will update this thread daily with the google link for our location. on the boat is 3 gps's, 3 vhfs, my spot, and a sat phone so commo is covered, including the weather router reports

we could if the winds grace us we could be back in 5 days at the min, but probably closer to 7 or 8 barring bad weather. of course bad weather could make it take weeks

PM me your Spot Page, I'd love to see your progress. If you get lucky, you can grab a push from the Gulf Stream if you have southerly winds, which would give you a really good speed boost.

SD i dont have tracking on the spot, i just added him as a recepiant of check in messages. i plan on hitting the button twice a day to help keep the wifey happy. thats why i added ssneade so he can post how we are doing here

yes we are hoping to get a ride on the stream, and it looks like the winds will be in our favor for at least the first 3 days

of course, with a 4 gig card and a netbook to save them to if i need more space, as plan on a lot of vids too.

the 4 gig card on the normal setting i use is only about 4k pics
