Sailing podcasts have become a great way to endure the long drives to work everyday, but I am having trouble finding more so I am hoping for recommendations for others. Here are the ones I have enjoyed so far...
furledsails.com - general podcast covering cruisers, builders, authors, etc. Has not been updated in a while, I hope everything is well with them.
followtheboat.com - A couple cruising from turkey, currently sailing down the red sea with a group of boats. Great view into the daily life of cruising, and glimpses into the places they visit, as well as interviews with others on the rally.
There use to be one called Podcastaway on iTunes about a couple of Brits sailing around the world. I don't think they've added anything new in a long time, but the archived podcasts are interesting.
I was just about to say "Follow the Boat" after reading your title.
The Latts&Atts podcasts are not current so you'll go through them quickly but we enjoyed them. I think there were a few from Distant Shores. We also enjoyed Sail Dos Gatos for the passage podcasts although as only occasional divers we skimmed through the all-diving ones.
There's a podcast that's been going just a few months called Sailing Uncovered. It covers the big pro-sailing events like Volvo Ocean Race, Vendee globe etc and has pretty exclusive access to loads of the top sailors.
Sailing Stories is fantastic: https://www.59-north.com/sailingstories/
It's an audio reading of a book - Couple Swedes go around the world. New episodes go to the top of my playlist immediately.
I also listen to:
Sailing in the Mediterranean
The Sailing Rode (may have disappeared, but really got me interested in trailer sailing, they used to post here)
The SA podcast (very race oriented, as one would guess)
Sail Loot
And pretty much the others that were mentioned.
I really like good sound quality. I've skipped a few SA episodes due to poor quality. Podcast people - learn what a compressor/expander does.
If you have Audible, "Liveaboard Sailing" is a pretty good podcast. Ive learned a few things.
