Met some nice guys

The wife and I were working on the boat today when a couple guys (Keith and Ray) pushing a cart came down the dock. They stopped to talk to our dog and during the conversation they mentioned they were riggers. I mentioned that I was interested in having my boat looked at they replied and were here at the request of the William H. Seward Yacht Club to do rigging work on club members boats and that they were leaving this evening, no real time to do anything for me but they would give me a quick look-see for obvious issues. I told them I wasn't a club member, was no problem. They noticed a little S in the mast, made a couple turn adjustment on the shroud and also advised me about tape on my rod rigging trapping water. In addition Keith took a peek at my mast step and suggested a way to solve my water retention problems.

These guys probably spent 20 minutes or so and called it "free sample" of their services.

I was a cop for 20 years, probably a bit cynical when it comes to people...these guys proved there are still some good folks to be found.

Keith and Ray, they work in the Anacortes/Seattle area...nice guys.
