They are cool to watch sometimes because they are big and gentle. This is a family of 3 that normally hang around the marina here and then I guess the in-laws were paying a visit.

Two years ago my youngest two went to Florida as part of a School Oceanography /Science program.

The highlight for them was swimming with the Manatees and Dolphins...Unfortunately the water was so cloudy where the manatees were at they could not see their hand at arms length, so it was a little scary to have them come up to them that close before being able to see them...and they could not see much.

I cant find the pictures now.

They would have loved your experiance.

Hey Don,

Saw my first for the season about 6 weeks ago, and had two in the marina saying hello just yesterday. We have also been getting a lot of Rays and turtles. I think FMB just had their first nest a week or so ago.

Very cool!!
