You never know...

Here I am, sitting in St. Augustine, waiting for a weather window to open so I can continue my trip north... and who do I run into—MtnMike. He, his wife and son are here on their IP38, waiting for a weather window. Last time I saw Mike was at one of the Sailnet gatherings in Annapolis last year, and he was boatless at the time. Damn small world.

Here he is with his IP38 in the background flying the two flags.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Wow Great Picure!!
When ya getting out of here Dog? We think that we'll wait till Sunday. Going to take in some more sites and go to the small boat show here. It also looks like a nice window for going outside to Charleston. Haven't seen you around. Did you guys abandon your delivery here? If ya have time before ya leave come on out for a beer or dinner or both. Call me and I'll have Shane run his water taxi in to pick you up.
Later

Had a great visit with Dog. He helped us with a few of our tech issues and showed us a lot of his pics from his Bahamas trip. Good to see him.
(he also promised not to photoshop me if I said nice things )

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

SailingDog and MountainMike -
We're going on a motorboat trip (no mast) which will put us at Beach Marine in Jacksonville Wednesday night and Cumberland Island for 3-4 nights after that. Drop by FreeStyle for a cerveza if you get that way, would enjoy meeting you.

You're just mad because your VGA monitor is having issues... it would be nice if you updated your computer from the CPM based machine you're using to something with a 32-bit or 64-bit processor.

Besides, it isn't my fault that MtnMike is a big guy and takes up more screen space than I expected.

Had a nice dinner with MtnMike and his family aboard s/v Moonshine, their IP38. She's a very nice boat and well-mannered for a leadmine.

If you're in the St. Augustine area in the next few days, do stop by and say hi to Mike. He's the large fuzzy faced fellow in the photo above.
