Question Inflatable Boat Specialist - purchase experience?

Anyone purchase a inflatable from them? Any issues, reviews, comments, after sales service, etc?

They have provided a very attractive quote on a boat I am very interested in purchasing. Shipping to Maryland is less then I would have expected and they claim a 30 day price protection policy.

www.InflatableBoats.net

PS. I am only interested in a RIB, no more inflatable bottom boats for me.

Not sure on them, I was looking into one of these, the prices seem awesome, 5 yr warranty, and great reviews on them.

DulceS -
I would hesitate on buying an inflatable that was not made of hypalon. Where did you find the favorable reviews?

I looked back and The reviews may have been a bit biased, also not from long time owners, so now I am unsure. The big difference is they are PVC with polyester reinforcing. Vs the Hypalon boats. There is no doubt Hypalon will last longer if you do not protect your PVC boat. I believe each year you need to coat your PVC inflatable with a UV protectant. Not sure the ultimate time difference for longevity. I know I have an old Zodiak from the 80's that is in perfect shape, other then regluing it once several years ago.

Check out Defender as well. Their prices are good and sometimes you can catch leftovers and save even more.

Thumbs up

I purchased a new Zodiac and a used Nissan outboard from them a year and a half ago. Their customer service was excelent. They took care of the registration paperwork on the boat and did it in a timely manner. The engine needed some work befor I would buy it and they completed it and also replaced a shift handle that was worn that I had not noticed without charging me. I found them to be a good resource for info on their boats.

I would not hesitate in using them again.

No, not from them. I got mine from these folks:

Inflatable Boats, Inflatable Kayaks and Inflatable Boat Accessories from SeaEagle.com

Great boat, price, accessory selection and customer service. Almost two years later and it's still like new.
