Walker Bay 8ft,W/ 2 hp?

Just got the deal of the year! complete WB8 with sail rig everything, even the flotation bag! $300! oh. the only thing it doesn't have is the inflatable tube that goes around the boat.

I'm thinking of buying back the little honda 2hp 4stroke I had.(27lbs) and wondering how the WB8 handles with power?

Mine tends to dig in at the stern which makes for a bigger wake. I sit on the middle seat and use an extension on my 2hp Nissan. Not the fastest dinghy in the fleet, but it does the job. Can be tippy when getting in or out if you don't have something to hold on to.

Middle seat is pretty much a given on any dink with an outboard imo. I was wondering how it handles though.. it doesn't look like a displacement hull as my water tender 9 was. Going to clean it up today take it down the club and show off. giggle.

Handles okay. Nothing particularly noteworthy or unworthy about it's performance. Doesn't get up enough speed to plane.
