Pictures of Boats

I hope this is an appropriate forum for this. Every once in a while I come across a boat that I feel others would enjoy seeing for one reason or another. Here are two. First is eye candy.

Now for something completely different.

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

What is the Gitana? A puffin? I can't tell whether it has a bowsprit or not. It's totally gorgeous.

I fell in love with this boat when I saw her so I did a little research. Turns out she belongs to Dennis Choate.

61 feet long, Aluminum hull, built by ABEKING & RASMUSSEN in 1970

Don't even remember where I got that picture but it was captioned: Wee Seal. So I did a little research and came up with this link:

Simmons & Broome Ltd. Boatbuilders » Builders of Wooden Boats and Yachts: Wee Seal, by Iain Oughtred - The ideal trailer sailer. Specification, Design Options, Ordering Information

There's just something very apealing about those traditional lines.
