Perfect

Well, despite the marine forecast and a strong wind warning, took my parents out this afternoon. Very glad I did, the weather was absolutely perfect. Nice constant 10knt wind and with a bit of a boost from the rising tide we had Tangerine creaming along nicely, hitting 6.5knts in places, not bad for a 31 year old boat with ancient sails and a clueless skipper
Bit of drama getting the sails up when the motor decided to quit but aside from that, couldn't have asked for a more perfect day on the water, fair winds, blue skies and stunning scenery. More tomorrow please!

I'm going out at any opportunity, think I have it down to $400 per sail so far

You can't count on those damned engines anyway. I prefer those big white flappy things above you.

So these ones aren't from that day, but Friday afternoon I'd finished work early and took my Dad out for a sail.
Here's Tangerine, still with the Ohio reg that I need to get taken off and the BC one put on:

Here's proof it does actually float and sail

And here's me old Dad enjoying himself, complete with shocking pink PFD (my wife's):
